Dennis Cagan,
CEO
Mr. Cagan is a high-technology industry executive and successful
entrepreneur for 42 years, having founded over a dozen
different companies. In addition to his entrepreneurial
activities Mr. Cagan is a seasoned CEO/Chairman and has been a
c-level executive (both public and private companies), consultant,
venture capitalist, private investor, and professional board member
(43 corporate Boards) for over 33 years.
Dennis is an internationally recognized authority in information
technology, including: Internet, software, hardware, and
communications, in the disciplines of strategy, sales, distribution
channels, marketing, services, logistics and distribution. On more
than one occasion Mr. Cagan has been responsible for international
sales and has actively done business in 35 countries. He has
authored dozens of articles and spoken frequently. In 1979 he
was the Keynote Speaker at the first COMDEX Show in Las Vegas. In
1976 he founded the David Jamison Carlyle Corp. (his 5th
start-up), turning it into one of the country's largest
distributors of computer peripherals, and taking DJC public in
1981. Mr. Cagan has an impressive track record of both
ramp-up and turn-around experience.
Over the years Mr. Cagan has had consulting relationships with
companies large and small including AT&T, IBM, Digital,
BellSouth, Kodak, Xerox, General Electric, TRW, Wang, U.S. West and
others. Since 1985 Mr. Cagan has often served as an interim
C-level executive - usually for companies where he was already a
member of the Board.
From May 2006 to July 2008 Mr. Cagan stepped in as a Board
Member and served as the Chairman, CEO and President of TWL
Corporation (TWLO.OB) based in Carrollton, Texas. Prior to
running TWL Dennis was the founder, Chairman and CEO of the
Santa Barbara Technology Group, LLC, a private incubator and
investment (venture capital) firm engaged primarily in working
with, and investing in early-stage technology companies.
Mr. Cagan currently serves on four corporate Boards of
Directors. He attended the University of California at Los
Angeles (UCLA) where he majored in economics, and he has an
honorable discharge from the USMC. Mr. Cagan is active in his
church, and he and his wife Angelia live in Plano with their
youngest of four daughters.
Billy Joe
Dupree
Billy Joe Dupree is an internationally recognized, master level
athlete, as well as an experienced businessman. Most of the country
knew Billy Joe as TE Dupree, a tight end who played in three Super
Bowls. From 1976-1978 his team, the Dallas Cowboys won Super Bowls
XII and XIII. Mr. Dupree earned the nickname "durable Dupree" for
playing 11 continuous years without ever missing a single game.
That level of dedication to his craft had him be named College All
American in 1973, nominated as Rookie of the Year his first year
out, and later as the Cowboys NFL Man of the Year. He has since
been named to the College Blue/Grey Football Classic Hall of Fame
in its very first year of inductions, the Texas State
African-American Sports Hall of Fame and the Louisiana State Hall
of Fame.
Since his meteoric rise to fame, Mr. Dupree has gone on to
develop a successful career as a senior level manager. He was
CEO/President of CWC Construction Company in Dallas a very
successful construction company for over 10 years. From there he
served as for 14 years with City of Dallas, first as Executive
Manager in the Office of Minority Business and then as Community
Program Manager.
He has contributed an extraordinary amount of his time in his
community; having served on 8 Boards of Directors, been an official
supporter of nine different foundations, held two President
Appointed positions, one as Delegate to the White House Conference
on Small Business, the other as Presidential Appointee to the Wage
Committee, Federal Department.
Mr. Dupree holds a M.B.A. Certification in Business
Administration from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana and
an Associates Degree Equivalent from Michigan State University,
majoring in Building Construction Management.
Tom
Montgomery
Tom is Managing Partner of the Montgomery Coscia Greilich LLP.
His primary disciplines include advanced tax planning,
transactional services, particularly mergers, acquisitions,
debt/equity financing for both public and private companies and
strategic and operational planning for large and medium sized
businesses.
Prior to forming the Firm, Tom was responsible for starting and
growing Beal Capital Markets, Inc., an investment subsidiary of
Beal Bank specializing in both public and private corporate finance
products. When he left, Beal Capital Markets had invested in excess
of $2 billion in a diversified portfolio of high yield bonds and
direct company investments.
Prior to joining Beal Capital Markets, Inc., Tom was the
founding and managing partner of Montgomery Baggett & Drews
LLP, a 25 professional full service CPA firm in Dallas. Tom's
primary activity with the firm was serving companies in tax, merger
and acquisition and financing transactions.
Tom is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from Texas
Tech University with a MS in Accounting and Taxation. He is a
member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants.
Tom sits on the Board for Children's Medical Center and actively
participates in mission trips through St. Andrew's United Methodist
Church.
Lea
Ellermeier Nesbit
Lea is the president and founder of Celadon Dental, a
dental distribution company based in Dallas, Texas. Prior to
Celadon Dental, Ms. Nesbit was the CEO and founder of Lingualcare,
Inc., a start-up company that developed new technology for the mass
customization of invisible, orthodontic braces. Lingualcare
was purchased by 3M in November, 2007. Lea served as
Lingualcare's CEO from inception, through acquisition.
Ms. Nesbit founded Lingualcare after three years with OraMetrix,
a healthcare technology company focused in the orthodontic space.
At OraMetrix Lea served as vice president of marketing and sales.
As a member of the OraMetrix executive management team, Lea managed
marketing, business development, sales, customer service,
installation and training. In addition she was successful in
helping the company to raise over $20M in equity financing.
Prior to OraMetrix, Lea served as vice president of marketing at
AutoTester, a QA software and professional services company.
Ms. Nesbit was director of marketing at XTRA On-Line Corporation, a
start-up, Internet travel software-development company. Lea has
held management positions in international sales and product
marketing at Micrografx, a developer of Windows graphics
applications, where she was the managing director for Latin
America, Africa, India and the Middle East. Lea started her career
at GeoWorks in Berkeley, CA, working as a product manager.
Lea has a B.A. in Political Science (Cum Laude) from the
University of Texas El Paso and holds an M.B.A. from Thunderbird,
School of Global Management in Glendale, AZ.
John K.
Washington, President and CFO
Johnny has over 25 years of experience providing bookkeeping,
financial processing, debt & equity finance, income tax
preparation and tax resolution. Johnny Washington is the
Chief Financial Officer of SureBooks LLC and is President and
General Partner of Precision One LP, a commercial real estate
development company; Mr. Washington has considerable expertise in
the world of finance; including corporate finance, asset
management, multi-entity capital structuring, taxation, capital
formation and traditional accounting services. Along with the
resources of SureBooks LLC, he is currently serving as Controller
or Chief Financial Officer of several other companies. Mr.
Washington has created a system that provides a more cost effective
solution of services and proficiencies to companies that do not
have an "in-house" Controller or CFO.
